Our Plan

Every year at the Guild, we develop a plan for how we’ll make an impact for students at UCB, guided by our vision to help every student leave at their personal best. Our yearly Plan is also guided by our 5-year Strategy and the three key parts of our work:

  • Got Your Back: ensuring every student has what they need to achieve at UCB
  • Find Your People: creating new connections for friendship & support
  • Shape Your Life: offering opportunities to develop life-long skills and memories

This page is a work in progress and we’ll be adding additional live tracking information shortly.

Planning a sustainable future for the Guild of Students

Your Engagement

Guild Users

Every year, a huge number of UCB students use or interact with the Guild in small ways that add up to big changes. It could be as simple as visiting our shop or emailing us, and it could be as important as voting in the Guild's elections to shape the Officers representing all UCB students next academic year.

This year, we're aiming to have at least 2,000 students using the Guild.

Got Your Back

One of the most important areas of our work is making sure students have everything that they need in order to be able to engage with what UCB has to offer. That might be things like giving away food and sexual health supplies, or it could be speaking with a staff advisor at the Guild about ECs, complaints, or assessment appeals.

We call this part of our plan 'Got Your Back' and we aim to engage over 1,500 in these activities this year.

Find Your People

For lots of students, some of the most exciting experiences at UCB is the stuff that happens outside of the classroom. At the Guild, we offer sports clubs, societies, academic communities, and liberation networks - all of which help students to find your people.

This year, we want to engage over 1,000 students in our 'Find Your People' work.

Shape Your Life

It doesn't just stop at community-building; we want for the Guild to have a meaningful and supportive impact to students lives beyond University. Whether that's through taking advantage of individual development opportunities or taking on a leadership role, we pledge to offer ways for students to Shape Your Life.

This year, our target is to engage more than 400 students in this area of our Plan.
